The Best Nest

One of my favorite books when I was a child was The Best Nest by P.D. Eastman. What Mr. Bird says all throughout the book is:

"I love my house.
I love my nest.
In all the world,
my nest is best!"

I get that.

This past Saturday, I got new houseguests. I like these houseguests MUCH better than my previous ones.

Introducing the Dove family:

I thought it was kind of cool how they showed up the day before Easter.

How beautiful!

I have houseguests too that are also winged. The sit on the threshold of the front door and peck and fight at their reflection. It's really annoying not to mention the poop issue.

Oh, and the ones that sit on my truck rear side mirrors. It looks like I have poop waterfalls down both door of my truck!

I'm glad you like your winged houseguests more than I like mine....

Good to see you back!

The classics never change! I too loved that book growing up. I agree - the doves right before Easter are a good omen.

Don't you just love them, Wormy? I've been talking to them every day. They're starting to get used to me.

I agree, Nic. Good omen.

Easter clothes are probably better than my birthday suit these days, Sgt. I am getting older.

Hi, Marcia! I've missed your posts!

Dang it, Katia. You dropped off the face of the earth. When are you coming back to town?

I'm not sure when I'll be back. You know....Atlanta isn't that far away! Give me a call...still have the same cell number.
