Okay. I need everyone to
wait just one minute.
Baby carrots.
Am I the only one on the planet who thought they were really baby carrots?
It seems that most of the baby carrots aren't really baby carrots at all. They're baby
-cut carrots.
It's a conspiracy. Read about it at
SLASHFOOD.

I guess I should stop circulating that petition then, huh?
The "Save the Baby Carrots" one? Yeah, probably.
I went home last night and looked at the bag. Sure enough, "Baby CUT Carrots."
I do have it on good authority that you can actually purchase real baby carrots. I'm going to be on the lookout for them.
Real baby carrots will set you back and arm, if not that and the leg. I see them at organic places and farmer's markets.
Have fun.
I knew this. No. Really. I did.
I don't feel smug or anything though
What?
Everyone turn around
(hugs the stuffing outa wurdi)
Honey, I'm sofaking proud of you on the not smoking thing. Sofaking proud
Thank you, Twench.
I'm hanging in there but it's been really, really hard. No smoking. I haven't had one - not even a puff - and I'm really proud of myself. ::pat, pat, pat::
The faux baby carrots are helping. I need to buy more. Maybe I'll find some of those elusive REAL baby carrots.
Yes most baby carrots are "made" from smaller ones, put through a rolling tumbling machine. Real baby carrots do exist, seek out the healthy food stores. The real ones will still have their greens on them, and real skin!
From the World Carrot Museum - yes there is one!
